the news about the tragic accident of Julian Carlo Miguel "Amiel" C. Alcantara is really saddening. i'm sure it's traumatic for everyone involved.

i feel for his family specially for his parents, thinking they only enjoyed 10 years with amiel. sometimes God calls back his angels too soon.

i feel for his brother and yaya who witnessed the accident. i hope they seek counseling so they'll be uplifted from such ordeal.

i also feel for the lady driving the van that killed amiel. it must be haunting for her because she's also a mother. i hope she too seeks counseling so she'll have peace of mind.

over this heartrending period, there's time to mourn... and time to move on as well. it may be hard, but as what i've read from a book:

"understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can
there be recovery..."

yesterday i was given a taste of my own medicine. i guess we can't really complain about karma, no matter how noble our intentions are. it's not unfair, it's not unexpected. it just evens the score.

how do you look out for something that wasn't yours to protect? and how do you let go of something so dear to you but was never yours to hold on to in the first place?

too often, the thing that you wanted the most, is the one thing you can't have. yeah... sucks, isn't it? but as tough as wanting something can be, the ones who suffer the most are the ones who don't know what they want.
